Can I enroll in coverage now?

HMOs are cheaper but offer no coverage whatsoever for providers that are out-of-network.

PPOs offer greatly enhanced benefits for in-network providers but some coverage is offered for out-of-network as well.

Yes! Plans can be enrolled in or changed for 2023 at this time because it is Open Enrollment.

What is Open Enrollment?

It depends on your situation. PPOs offer more flexibility and can prevent you from having to change doctors, however the cost savings of an HMO can make them a better option for many.

Open Enrollment is the 75-day window where coverage for the following year is selected.

Whether it is adding new coverage for the first time or changing your current coverage, now is the time to do it.

When is Open Enrollment?

Each carrier has a unique list of in-network providers and drug formularies.

If you have a provider or drug you need, it is very important to double check before enrolling.

The easiest thing you can do is speak to an agent.

Open Enrollment is from November 1st through January 15th.

It may feel like you have lots of time but it's important to act now!

What happens if I miss Open Enrollment?

While some agencies may charge a consultation fee, all advice and help that is offered at Elevate Insurance Solutions is completely free of charge.

This year is more confusing than ever so having a licensed professional on your side is essential.

Whatever the state of your coverage is on January 15th is locked in for the year.

Whether you have no coverage or are enrolled in a specific plan, that is how things will stay unless you have a Qualifying Life Event.

Having someone looking out for your interests, especially for free, can be invaluable.

Navigators must complete an initial training program and can help people enroll in coverage, but legally cannot offer advice.

Insurance agents must complete training and continuing education that allows them to offer guidance and explanations to consumers, usually for free.

Elevate Insurance Solutions is built and run by an agent.

HMOs are cheaper but offer no coverage whatsoever for providers that are out-of-network.

PPOs offer greatly enhanced benefits for in-network providers but some coverage is offered for out-of-network as well.

Yes and no. In most years you will get what's called a passive renewal that lets you maintain similar coverage, typically with a similar cost, from year-to-year.

This year in many eastern NC counties, rates have skyrocketed and gone up $100 or more per month. It is VERY important to actively choose a plan that fits your budget for 2023.

It depends on your situation. PPOs offer more flexibility and can prevent you from having to change doctors, however the cost savings of an HMO can make them a better option for many.

Unfortunately with new carries coming into NC, subsidies have changed drastically. Even if you got a letter stating a monthly price, it is likely not correct.

The easiest way to find out what the plan you are enrolled in as of now and make changes if needed is to reach out to us. 10 minutes could save you $1000s in premium costs.

Yes! If you don't make any changes, you will likely have similar coverage in 2023 that you had in 2022...

The problem is that it will likely be at a VERY different price.

This year more than ever it's important to review your options.
